Primary Release Teacher (Kerikeri)

About the Role

We are seeking a competent Primary Release Teacher who can teach from Y3 – 8, to join us at our Kerikeri Campus. This is a 0.6FTE position and the majority of the time  will be spent with the Y3-6 students. We require this release Wednesday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, meaningful, and student-focused lessons for Year 7-8 students.
• Foster an environment where students are encouraged to take ownership of their learning, develop self-discipline, and work collaboratively with peers.
• Implement the Learn to Learn framework to help students develop the skills and strategies needed to be effective learners.
• Collaborate with other teaching staff to ensure a consistent and cohesive approach to teaching and learning across the campus.
• Foster a culture of inquiry and creativity, encouraging students to ask questions, think critically, and seek solutions to real-world challenges.
• Engage with parents and the broader community.

Skills, Experience & Competencies:

• Current Registration with the Teaching Council of New Zealand
• Strong commitment to student success and innovative teaching practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in a modern learning environments and techniques.
• Strong digital skills with the ability to teach through multiple mediums.
• Ability to liaise with parents, staff, pupils, and the wider community.
