Are you ready to take your accounting career to the next level? We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Accountant to join our vibrant team in Sydney CBD. This is a full-time, permanent position where you'll report directly to the Chief Accountant, playing a crucial role in delivering professional strata management services to our esteemed clients.

What You'll Do:

• Financial Statements: Produce monthly financial statements, including year-end and interim accounts such as balance sheets, income & expenditure reports, cash payments, and debtor statement reports for our body corporate clients.
• Compliance and Tax: Ensure compliance with tax obligations and assist with the preparation of BAS and annual tax returns.
• Account Reconciliation: Prepare and reconcile financial accounts, handling both cash and accrual-based accounting.
• Audit Management: Arrange and manage audits to uphold our financial integrity.
• Strata Support: Provide support to Strata Managers with enquiries, acting as a reliable resource.

About You:

• Experience: Ideally, you have at least 1 year of experience in a similar all-rounder Assistant Accountant role within the Property Management or Strata industry. However, the right attitude and willingness to learn and grow will set you apart!
• Qualifications: You hold a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• Attention to Detail: You have an exceptional eye for detail and stellar time management skills.
• Tech-Savvy: You're proficient with accounting software and possess advanced Excel skills.
• Team Player: You are a self-starter, passionate about being a team player, and ready to be the "glue" for our tribe.
• Personality: We value genuine, nice individuals who are always willing to pitch in when the chips are down.
