About the role

We are on the lookout for a super organised and dedicated Collections Officer to join our Kemps Petersons Receivables team in Sydney CBD. This role is a full-time permanent position. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for collecting debt referred by our clients whilst complying with the Australian Debt Collection guidelines.

 

Objectives

  • Analyse client accounts to negotiate payment of outstanding debt.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Negotiate and monitor payment plans.
  • Report statuses to clients on progress matters.
  • Carry out internal or external investigations to locate debtors as required.
  • Manage missed debtor payments and issues related notices.
  • Maintain accurate account records ensuring all customer information is up to date.

  
About you

  • Ideally you will have 2-3 years’ experience in a similar all-rounder role in debt collection or AR, but if not, the right attitude and willingness to learn and grow will set you apart from the rest!
  • You’re known for outstanding client service and communication skills (written & verbal)
  • You can professionally and sensitively deal with clients and third parties
  • You have an eye for detail and exceptional time management skills
  • If you want to be the “glue” for our tribe and are a genuinely a nice person who is always willing to pitch in when the chips are down, then we will consider you!
