The NZSki finance team operates as part of the wider Trojan Holdings Ltd finance department, which provides opportunities for future growth and career development.
About The Role
We are on the hunt for an experienced Management Accountant with a commercial mind to join our NZSki finance team here in Queenstown! You'll play a crucial role in driving financial excellence while working in a fast-paced industry with people who share a passion for our mountains. This is a fixed term maternity cover for 12 months, commencing in early 2025.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, including variance analysis and insightful commentary for the Board and management.
- Report on monthly capital expenditure.
- Assist with annual budgeting/planning, including templates, composition, review, and data support.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Year-end financial statements and tax calculation including management of the audit process.
- Ensure NZSki remains compliant with all relevant tax legislation, companies compliance and other financial regulations and banking covenants.
- Ensure the Internal Audit program is executed and reported to management.
- Support with the training and management of the seasonal finance team.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Preferably CA qualified with a relevant degree.
- Has proven experience as an accountant, ideally within a commercial setting.
- Has strong Excel skills and experience working with different systems.
- Has excellent attention to detail and is a motivated self-starter.
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to connect and communicate well with people at all levels of the business.
