Everyone at Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and Mt Hutt cares for the mountains and shares a passion for snowsports and the surrounding regions. Our success is due to our awesome customer service, first-class facilities, majestic scenery, and wild terrain.
Coronet Peak and The Remarkables are looking to employ nurses on each mountain for the upcoming season. The position runs from early June to mid October.
About the role
- You will provide medical treatment for guests and staff on-site (both paediatric and adult trauma cases) at our Ski Area medical facility.
- Your day to day won’t be the same when you work at our ski areas, but you can expect that you will regularly be involved with delivering acute medical care in a professional and compassionate manner and encouraging and maintaining an environment which promotes quality service delivery and safety for all patients and staff.
About you
- have at least two years' of experience (or equivalent) as a registered nurse in an Emergency Department.
- hold a current annual practicing certificate
- understands current infection prevention and control certificate held (preferable)
- holds a current vaccinator certificate held (preferable)
- has knowledge of the New Zealand health system, particularly ACC.
- is comfortable working in an alpine environment in a variety of weather conditions
- Has a good knowledge of ski area snow conditions, and the ability to ski or snowboard in all weather is an advantage, however not a requirement.
Skill and Qualifications
- holds current medical indemnity insurance
- hold Core Advanced Certificate (issued within the past 3 years)
- holds a current triage certificate
- holds a IV Cannulation Certificate
