As a versatile and skilled maintenance handyperson, with an eye for detail and a passion for excellence, you will:
- Execute general maintenance and repairs across guest rooms and public areas, including minor carpet repairs, unblocking sink and floor waste blockages, changing light bulbs, fixing tiles, and tuning televisions.
- Utilize strong time management and prioritization skills to address and complete daily maintenance tasks, escalating complex issues as necessary.
- Identify, rectify, and document maintenance issues during routine inspections, ensuring that all concerns are addressed promptly.
- Coordinate with contractors and assist tradesmen as needed, maintaining cleanliness and organization of plant rooms and equipment.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety, reporting hazards promptly and adhering to all relevant procedures and policies.
- Source minor quotations for repairs, submit them for approval, and provide clear, concise communication during shift handovers.
More about you
- An appropriate Industry Trade Qualification is essential, with Occupational Health & Safety qualifications and a Testing & Tagging licence being advantageous.
- Ideally, you will have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury property.
- Expertise in developing and implementing effective maintenance strategies and cost-efficient solutions.
- Embrace a flexible roster, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays, exemplifying your dedication to delivering exceptional service at all times.
