Field Maintenance – Leading Hand (MCC)

About the Role

An outstanding opportunity has become available for a Leading Hand Maintenance fitter to join the team at Maules Creek.

This position is day-shift only working 7/7 roster.
 

What You’ll Do

To be successful in the role you will:
 

• Lead the team of fitters giving guidance and be a proactive leader with a “can do” attitude.
• Complete planned, unplanned and corrective maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance to Whitehaven Coals Occupational Health and Safety Standards.
• Ensure that all incidents, accidents and hazards are reported and are followed up correctly to minimise and manage risk.
• Inspect equipment and raise job requests on any defective parts/components found.
• Step up to supervise during planned shutdowns
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• Hold a relevant trade certificate with demonstrated experience with mobile plant equipment
• Possess a current Unencumbered New South Wales “C” Class Driver’s Licence.
• Able to communicate effectively with demonstrated leadership experience
• Demonstrate good time management
• Adherence and promotion to our STRIVE Values (Safety, Teamwork, Respect, Integrity, Value, Excellence)
• Demonstrated supervision experience
