About This Role
The Mine Planning Superintendent plays a key role in supporting both Vickery and Tarrawonga mines, overseeing all aspects of mine planning for the next five years. This site-based position is focused on driving continuous improvements in planning processes while offering strong leadership and mentoring to the mine planning team.

The ideal candidate will enjoy the flexibility of a 9-day fortnight roster and either reside in the Gunnedah Region or be open to relocating to the area.

What You’ll Do

• Provision of cost effective mine designs, plans and schedules with both a tactical and strategic focus
• Develop and review procedures and Risk Assessments where required
• Fortnightly mine plans | 12 month rolling STPs and associated compliance reconciliations | Annual 5+7 reforecast | 5-year annual budget forecast
• Coach, develop, lead, mentor and participate in selection of Mining Planning team

What You’ll Bring

• >5 years’ experience in open cut mining
• Experience with SPRY and Vulcan (or similar mine planning softwares) + Strong data analysis skills
•  Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering, Geology or related discipline
• Statutory qualifications (desirable)
• Capacity to lead and develop a multi-disciplined technical team
