About The Role

Whitehaven Coal are seeking experienced Shotfirers to join the Drill and Blast team at Maules Creek Mine. The shotfirers will ensure safe and efficient operation of the blast loading and firing blasting process, including government and site compliance, equipment and personnel within the blasting process in conjunction with all relevant stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee loading and firing of shots
• Supervise and allocate work team resources to manage Blast activities in a safe and timely manner
• Conduct safe blasting operations and ensure a safe work area is maintained

What You’ll Bring

• Blasting explosives user licence | Driver's Licence
• Current Security Clearance
• Min 5 years’ experience in an open cut pit environment
• Live local to the Gunnedah area or willingness to relocate
• Ability to work a 7/7 roster
