About The Role
Due to business growth, we currently have an opportunity for an Analyst - Operations Commercial to join our team. The purpose of the Analyst - Operations Commercial is to support the business with evaluation of business performance and assist stakeholders with review of improvement opportunities. This position will support both Group Operations Commercial and various Site Commercial teams to enhance value by identifying and proposing opportunities for value creation through either cost savings or demand management.
The role will also support Manager Contracts to provide analytical and reporting support, including review of rise and fall formulae, volume discounts and ad-hoc performance analysis.
What You'll do
Some key responsibilities of the role include:
- Assist with annual budget and Life of Mine reviews, periodic re-forecasting and site performance analysis
- Develop and maintain relevant templates and models to streamline and standardise analysis activities across multiple sites
- Variance analysis
- Prepare and present data with succinct suggestions on identified trends and areas of focus, including insights on any causal factors
- Independently applying a variety of strategies to gather, review, prioritise and analyse business data
- Various ad-hoc reporting requirements
What You'll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications (or working towards) in accounting. Proven experience in commercial analysis and presentation
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for process and business improvements that deliver efficiencies and genuine bottom line savings
- The ability to work across and deliver on several finance/commercial projects end-to-end
- Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Excellent attention to detail and solid presentation skills
- Excellent communications skills across the organisational hierarchy
- Advanced level of experience in Microsoft Excel
