Be part of something new! The Mobile Assessment & Treatment Team (MATT) is part of a newly established service, designed to provide responsive, youth-centred care to young people (12-25) experiencing or at high risk of psychosis. Based in beautifully appointed, purpose-built facilities, this service is designed to enhance care delivery in a welcoming and modern environment.
As the Consultant Psychiatrist, you’ll have a unique opportunity to shape this innovative program from the ground up, working with a team dedicated to early intervention, recovery, and best-practice psychiatric care.

You’ll provide clinical leadership to either a Registrar or a Career Medical Officer (CMO), oversee psychiatric care, and contribute to quality assurance—while having the autonomy to design a work schedule that suits your lifestyle. You’ll also be supported by a CMO or Registrar, and a Clinical Director.

headspace Early Psychosis is a nationally recognised leader in youth mental health, providing evidence-based, recovery-focused care. The service operates under the renowned Orygen EPPIC model, with three key teams:
- Mobile Assessment & Treatment Team (MATT)
- Continuing Care Team
- Functional Recovery Team

About You
- You are a registered medical practitioner with AHPRA and a Fellow of RANZCP (or hold an equivalent postgraduate specialist qualification).
- You have significant experience in acute mental health care for young people.
- You’re passionate about education, supervision, and fostering a learning culture.
- You bring innovative approaches to treatment and are committed to early intervention and recovery-focused care.
