Overlooking the Remarkable Mountain range and rising from the waters of Lake Wakatipu, the Rendezvous Heritage Hotel Queenstown offers 175 rooms and suites, Mackenzies Restaurant, meeting facilities up to 250 attendees and an ICON wedding venue.
About the role
Reporting to the Hotel General Manager, as the Executive Assistant Manager, you’re the go-to for any operational or guest query and there’s no problem that you can’t solve (always with a smile). You have a natural affinity for making people feel at home and you inspire the same GoMAD (go make a difference) attitude among your team. You embrace the ‘big picture’, without losing sight of financial targets and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Oversee the daily operations and performance of the assigned or all hotel departments and team members, ensuring smooth running and exemplary guest service
- Supporting the GM with preparing budgets and forecasts
- Participate in revenue meetings to set weekly and monthly revenue/rate strategies
- Any planned CAPEX documents prepared for approval are detailed and accurate
Now, let's talk about you:
- You have 3-5 years’ hotel leadership experience and sound understanding of leading rooms, and housekeeping.
- You (ideally) hold qualifications in Hospitality or Business
- You’re no stranger to managing teams, building culture and developing talent pipelines
- You have a proven ability in delivering growth results in hotels and driving revenue
- Your leadership style is natural, inspiring, and empowering.
- You're passionate about accommodation, and your expertise speaks volumes.
- What truly sets you apart is your boundless passion for people. You excel in building relationships and effortlessly engaging your team and stakeholders alike.
- With a proven track record of developing and leading several head of departments, you bring a wealth of experience to the table.
- Consistently surpassing expectations, you're commercially savvy, driving revenue and profit growth across the Rooms Department.
- Your meticulous attention to detail, coupled with your flair for innovation and design, ensures every product presentation is impeccable.
