The key responsibilities for this position include:
Comply with relevant OHS/WHS legislation including:
- Take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of persons who may be affected by their actions
- (or omissions).
- Co-operate with any reasonable instruction, policy and procedure.
- Not intentionally (or recklessly) interfere with, or misuse anything provided at the workplace in the interests of health, safety or welfare; and
- Identify and report all hazards, near misses, injuries, illnesses and incidents.
- Behaves in a manner that demonstrates care for others and Ridley product and property.
Quality
- Attends and participates in all relevant training and personal development.
- Actively participates in planned site meetings.
- Compliance with relevant HACCP requirements, ensuring activities comply with the program and assisisting to manage the maintenance of HACCP accreditation.
- Understanding and awareness of Hygienic Rendering of animal byproducts.
- Participate in site Continous improvement program.
- Ensures work area is kept clean at all times.
Production
- Products manufactured meet product specifications to the extent that is controllable by the operator
- Compliance with company safety rules and safe operating procedures
- Compliance with objectives and targets established by the company’s Environmental Management Systems
- Compliance with plant efficiency standards
- Staff and workplace issues reported to Site Manager when they occur focusing on continual improvement.
- Any other responsibilities and/or Authorities as specifically designated by Site Manager or Delegate.
- Identify and report non-conformances as per Ridley process
The key requirements of this role include:
- Sound knowledge of OH&S and Environmental Policies and Legislation.
- Current Drivers and Forklift licence.
- Aptitude for computerised work
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Effective communication skills.
- Relevant tickets to perform tasks
- Identify and report non-conformances
- Enforce safety rules
- Current Forklift driver licence
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Understanding of site HACCP Plan
- Understanding of site safety Policies and Procedures
