This is an exciting opportunity for capable Supervisors for the day and afternoon shifts. All duties must be performed safely, to the required standard and with consideration to the environment.
The key responsibilities for this position include:
- Lead and manage a team of experienced operators through coaching and mentoring
- Responsibility for shift operations during production cycles and scheduling
- Investigate, analyse, and implement preventative actions for quality and safety incidents
- Assist in developing standards for each procedure resulting in the standardisation of operations and improved quality for all products
- Facilitate the delivery of training
- Complete plant risk assessments and integrate the safety controls into the operating procedures to clearly define the expectations and hold people accountable for all the tasks they undertake
- Contribute to updating of current operating procedures, including using pictures to improve understanding for those where English is a second language.
- Integrate into procedures the process improvements from the extensive ongoing CI programs.
To be successful you will have the following skills and qualifications:
- Strong leadership capability
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deal with a variety of stakeholders
- High level organisational and planning skills
- 2-3+ years of experience in a supervisor role
- Be able to utilise engineering principles in a production environment both to improve plant and operator’s performance and capture the learning in sound operating procedures
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Operating Procedures and HACCP principle
