Senior Resilience Officer - Community Development

Salary: $104,950 - $120,692 per annum + 11.5 % super
Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive Council committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. Our Sustainability and Resilience Team is seeking a Senior Resilience Officer – Community Development.
Purpose
This role is required to execute and lead complex projects and initiatives that align with Council’s resilience and sustainability goals and strategic priorities. These efforts aim to enhance the resilience of both Council and the community. You will contribute to strategy and policy development, lead significant projects and managing complex stakeholders.
About the role
In this role you will be required to demonstrate:
- Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership: Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders including government agencies, NGOs, community groups, and industry partners to foster collaboration and support for resilience initiatives.
- Project Management: Lead cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and monitoring of complex resilience projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, significant budgets, and quality standards.
- Research and Thought Leadership: Conduct advanced research and analysis on emerging trends, technologies, and innovations in resilience, translating insights into actionable strategies and initiatives.
About you
The skills and abilities you will bring to this role include:
- Proficiency in project planning, execution, and monitoring, with experience managing complex projects within budget and timelines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage and negotiate with diverse stakeholders, including senior executives, government officials, NGOs, and community leaders.
- Demonstrated understanding of resilience policies, regulations, and frameworks at local, state, national and international levels, and the ability to navigate and influence policy development.
