About the role

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our Strata Accounting team based in our Sydney CBD office supporting one of our most prestigious strata branches. This role is a full-time permanent opportunity. Reporting to the Chief Accountant, you will play an integral part to our core business of delivering professional accounting services to our strata managers for our clients.

Objectives

• Conduct and deliver financial reviews to ensure all allocated funds are accounted for.
• Produce monthly financial statements, including interim and year-end accounts for our body corporate clients.
• Assist with creating body corporate levies tables.
• Arrange client investments and loans for additional funds.
• Ensure compliance with tax obligations and assist with the preparation of BAS and annual tax returns.
• Prepare and reconcile financial accounts including both cash and accrual-based accounting.
• Arrange and manage audits.
• Support Strata Mangers with enquires as well as liaising with body corporate committees.
• Complete other accounting duties that may be required on an adhoc basis.

  
About you

• Ideally you will have at least 3 years’ accounting experience in the property services industry.
• Ideally having experience using Strata Master or a similar program
• You have a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, or related field.
• You have an exceptional eye for detail and time management skills.
• You’re proficient with using accounting software with advanced Excel skills.
• You are a self-starter and passionate about being a team player.
