ABOUT THE TEAM

As part of this Skilling Queenslanders for Work Program, your SSI Program Coordinator will place you with a great, local Not for Profit organisation to complete the work placement (traineeship) component of your Business Traineeship, 4 days each week. You will join your Program Coordinator and the other members of your Business Traineeship cohort one day each week for support as you learn business skills, grow your confidence, work on a group project and complete the Certificate I Workplace Skills.

 
ABOUT YOU

As a trainee you will be required to undertake and successfully complete a Certificate I in Workplace Skills as part of the Skilling Queenslanders for Work Program including learning and assessment outcomes required for the traineeship. You will carry out tasks related to office administration, clerical support and customer service whilst under supervision by your Host Employer and consistent with learning progression. As part of the Program, you will also implement and deliver a group project, as led by your  Program Coordinator.

THE BUSINESS TRAINEESHIP PROGRAM

  • Community-focused work placement participating in rewarding, meaningful work at a local, Not for Profit Organisation
  • Undertake a Certificate I in Workplace Skills qualification.
  • 18 Week Contract | Full Time Subsidised Employment | Based in Goodna - QLD

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • QLD Resident
  • Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen (including humanitarian entrant) OR a New Zealand citizen.
  • 15 years or older
  • Must have completed year 10 of secondary school.
  • Have not previously undertaken a Skilling Queenslanders for Work Program
  • Not currently enrolled in any other training program or University
  • Genuine commitment to undertaking and completing this program.
  • Aspiring interest in working in a business environment.
  • Able to work as part of team and interact with a diverse range of people.
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to pass Criminal History and Working with Children Blue Card check.
