About the role:
The Project Coordinator works closely with project team members, Project Managers and the Project Portfolio Manager to support the smooth and effective delivery of Opal HealthCare’s portfolio of strategic projects. The Project Coordinator works with the Project Manager to prepare comprehensive project plans and maintain progress through the development and maintenance of detailed action plans on assigned projects. The role performs coordinating activities such as project scheduling and risk reporting. The role also lends its highly analytical and detail-orientated capabilities to support ad hoc business administration requests as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather project requirements from business users during project initiation
- Support Project Managers with the preparation of detailed project plans
- Monitor and follow up progress on project risks, actions, issues and decisions
- Coordinate project meetings and workshops
- Coordinate internal and external project resources to execute project plans within agreed timeframes
- Coordinate software test planning, execution, defect resolution and status reporting
- Coordinate procurements required for ICT network changeover projects
- Travel to site as required to coordinate time-sensitive ICT network cutover activities
- Execute quality management processes, including coordinating testing
- Provide timely and accurate communications on project activities to impacted stakeholders
- Support Project Managers with the preparation of project status updates to senior stakeholders
Experience/Qualifications:
- Experience in the Aged Care sector preferred
- Experience coordinating project deliverables and milestones: on time/within budget/meeting business needs
- Proven experience with projects of similar size and scope
- Engagement with project team stakeholders
- Ability to adapt and apply project management methodologies in the organisational context
- Understands aged care sector context
