About the Role

We are seeking a Senior People Advisor to join our team, based at our Burnley, VIC home office. This role will support a portfolio of care communities across Victoria, providing expert HR guidance and ensuring best-practice people solutions. There is a requirement to visit sites from time to time, working closely with operational leaders to drive engagement, compliance, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR advice and support to care community leaders on employee relations, performance management, and workplace policies.
  • Partner with managers to implement people strategies that align with Opal Healthcare’s culture and business objectives.
  • Assist in workforce planning, retention strategies, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Support the implementation of employee engagement and well-being programs.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, modern awards, and enterprise agreements.
  • Investigate and resolve workplace matters, promoting a positive and fair workplace culture.
  • Work closely with the broader People & Culture team on key HR projects and initiatives.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience in an HR advisory or business partnering role, ideally within healthcare, aged care, or a similar multi-site environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, modern awards, and best-practice HR principles.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to work both strategically and operationally, balancing priorities across multiple sites.
  • A proactive, solution-focused mindset and the ability to drive positive workplace outcomes.
  • Willingness to travel to care communities as required.
