About the role:

We are currently looking for a Collections Banking Officer to join our finance team. This is a 6 month fixed term opportunity.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent knowledge of debtor processes and ability to negotiate (debt collection)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent prioritisation and time management skills
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills
  • Excellent computer/data entry/excel skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with residents, team members and other support functions to achieve customer service outcomes
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to assist in the implementation of process improvement and efficiency opportunities
  • Proven record of successful management of Banking Functions in a Corporate Environment

Experience/Qualifications required:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar roles
  • Diploma in Accounting essential
  • Bachelor’s degree qualifications in a business or finance related discipline are desirable
  • Specific qualifications/experience in credit control is desirable
  • Knowledge of aged care industry and regulations is highly desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality focus and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Experience in working in a highly regulated environment is advantageous
  • Intermediate level Excel skills is essential
