Key Responsibilities:

Support and respect the School’s ethos, values and guiding principles

Provide a competent delivery of the curriculum and develop a modern learning environment/culture to enable learning.

• Ensure the delivery of the curriculum in terms of content and pedagogy.
• Teach as a homeroom teacher while supporting/coaching/mentoring the learning of Year 9 - 13 students as they move in and out of the learning space around their subject specialist classes.
• Work with/assists the CP in the analysis of student data to identify strengths and areas for development.
• Ensure feedback systems provide students with the information they require to improve their performance.
• Provide regular reports to CP.
• Identify professional learning and development needs throughout the year. Proactively manages their own appraisal and professional development.

Essential Experience

• New Zealand registered Teacher.
• Evidence of highly effective teaching in more than one year group.
• Experience of working with and being part of a team of other adults.
• Experience of Assessment for Learning Experience of leading a key curriculum area.
• Has a wide view and knowledge of the curriculum and is concerned for the education of the whole person.
• Is knowledgeable about and experienced in the modern learning environment and modern learning techniques.
