Campus Student Support Assistant (Keri Keri)

Are you an experienced, compassionate and committed Student Support Assistant (Teacher aide) ?

We have an exciting opportunity at our Keri Keri campus to join the team. This role is on a part-time basis until December 2025 (25 hours per week, term time only).  This role is Monday - Friday. Between the hours of 8.30am - 3pm during term time.

The Role:

This role involves working alongside our classroom teachers, on a one-to-one basis with individual students, as well as small groups.  The role also requires the ability to monitor and gather data and communicate with family and staff.

Skills and Experience:

• Recent experience working with young people, particularly those at a similar age range.
• Experience supporting young people with learning challenges.
• Experience applying effective strategies and opportunities for learning.
• An understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum and of different learning methods.
• A good level of digital competency.
• Ability to cater for a student’s varying needs, including implementation of strategies to support development of communication and learning.
• Excellent relationship building and communication skills.
• Patience, resilience, adaptability and empathy.

Whilst training and induction is provided, it is ideal that you possess most of the above attributes.

Anticipated start date for the role is Term 1, 2025
