And now a bit about the Food & Beverage Attendant role:
We are on the lookout for energetic, passionate and conscientious Food & Beverage (F&B) Attendants to join our F&B team here at the State Netball and Hockey Centre in Parkville. In this role you will be responsible for providing efficient and customer focused service to all SSC patrons. This incorporates serving food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, preparing and cooking food, cleaning and cash handling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the face of our café’s and catering services, engaging with all customers in a professional and enthusiastic manner
- Process food & beverage orders using POS systems and balance receipts and payments.
- Efficiently serve food and beverages to the patrons
- Prepare food, cold beverages and hot beverages as per required procedures and/or recipes
- Following hygienic food and beverage handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of all food preparation areas, benches and equipment, and clean glasses and dishes
- Communicate and liaise with team members, kitchen and other areas of operation
- Always adhere to the responsible service of alcohol and licencing provisions and standards
- Use relevant equipment according to appropriate OHS Standards
- Other duties as directed by management

The successful candidates will be experienced and will thrive in busy café and catering settings. Your skills will include making coffee, serving food, and providing exceptional face to face customer service. We are looking for candidates who go above and beyond to create a welcoming and relaxing environment. In return you will work across our amazing facilities as a part of vibrant and supportive F&B team.
Our facilities are open across 7 days, so it is essential that you are flexible in how you can structure your weekly shifts working across evenings and weekends.
Knowledge and experience of front of house Catering operations
- Knowledge of making coffee
- Prior café experience
- Required Qualifications:
- Responsible Serving of Alcohol
- Working with Children Check
Desirable Qualifications:

- Recognised Barista qualification or equivalent experience in utilising a commercial coffee machine and preparing coffees
