Buderim Gardens is currently seeking an enthusiastic, committed and customer service focused Chef/Cook to join their team. Set amongst rainforest and luscious parklands, a short walk from Mooloolaba Beach, this coastal community offers quality facilities and a vibrant, relaxing and supportive village atmosphere. This successful candidate will be working on a part-time basis.

The shift would be:

• Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (This may be subject to change depending on functions). Extra shifts may be provided for relief work.
• 8:00am-2:00pm (30 hours a week)

As the Chef/Cook, you will be responsible for delivering high quality food and catering services, meeting the specific needs of residents in accordance with the village standards and regulations. You will also be assisting with the day-to-day kitchen operations and events of the village.

• Assisting Kitchen staff
• Cleaning and upkeep of workstation to food safety standards  
• Inventory Control
• Ordering of stock

Who You Are

• Cooking experience – with safe food handling certificate
• Have relevant kitchen experience or a cert 4 in hospitality or commercial cookery
• Highly organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks
• Have strong customer-service focus
