The Role
Fiddlers Green Retirement Village, located in Berwick, is currently seeking an enthusiastic, committed and reliable Weekend Cook on a Casual Basis.
Reporting the Village Manager, your duties will include:
You will be trained in and tasked with providing quality food service to our residents and assisting with the day-to-day kitchen operations & events of the village.
- Food preparation and cooking according to set menu for the day
- Working alone in the kitchen
- Cleaning and upkeep of work station to food safety standards
- Work with the Kitchen Assistant to serve meals to residents (approx. 50 servings for lunch and 25 servings for dinner per day)
- Work with Kitchen Assistant to clean up after dining service
Your Background
- Experience in a Café or Restaurant food operations.
- Have relevant cooking experience or a cert 4 in hospitality or commercial cookery
- Be able to multitask and work unsupervised.
- Have a strong customer-service focus
Shifts
- Casual - approx. 1 shift per weekend (Saturday or Sunday)
