Your Day on a Page
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Gardener/Groundsman to join our team at Buderim Meadows. This is a permanent part-time role, working 25 hours a week. The workdays are Monday to Friday and the shifts run from 8am to 1pm.
Buderim Meadows is a contemporary village situated within walking distance to retail shops and a quick drive to Maroochydore’s Sunshine Plaza. Joining the team promises a fulfilling experience, allowing you to enjoy the satisfaction of assisting our friendly residents and work within a supportive team environment.
The Gardener/Groundsman will be required to deliver garden and property maintenance, ensuring the village is properly kept for the enjoyment of the residents.
Working under the guidance of the Village Manager, you will execute all gardening activities such as:
- Maintenance of common garden areas, general pool maintenance, weeding, pruning, picking up leaves/rubbish, green waste management, and tools/equipment maintenance.
As you will be working alongside our residents, a customer-service focus is essential, along with a genuine interest in assisting the elderly.
Who You Are
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Demonstrated competence as a Gardener – weeding, pruning, planting
- Experience in General Maintenance works
- Understanding of machinery use and tools required for the job
- High organisation skills and the ability to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks whilst working independently
- Knowledge of Environment, Health and Safety legislation
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Level 2 First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain one).
- A genuine interest in assisting the elderly
