Your Day on A Page
At Keyton, we are committed to providing exceptional living experiences for our residents while prioritising environmental sustainability. Our specialist team are seeking a dedicated Sustainability Coordinator to assist our Sustainability Managers in driving Keyton’s green initiatives forward.
Located in our office based in Melbourne or Sydney, you will be responsible for play a key role in supporting the implementation of sustainable practices across our retirement living communities.
Experience in building services and efficient operation of buildings will be valuable, as you will work closely with the National Sustainability Managers on the strategic delivery of sustainability outcomes across the portfolio.
Reporting to the National Sustainability Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting Sustainability Managers in developing and implementing sustainability strategies and initiatives to improve the business social and environmental performances
- Implementing and administering Keyton’s sustainability data systems
- Supporting Keyton’s sustainability reporting obligation
- Being the first point of call to village operation teams on sustainability projects and initiatives
- Supporting project advisory on Property upgrades and capex projects aligned to the Sustainability strategy
- Developing sustainability standards, guides and education material for various internal and external stakeholders
- Facilitating educational session with the village/property teams on the Sustainability strategy
- Setting and Tracking village energy & water intensity targets
- Supporting the monitoring, reporting, management and delivery of business unit specific sustainability initiatives
Role Requirements:
- Building Services degree or background i.e. Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Trade
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in sustainability and/or in the property industry
- Understand the drivers for sustainability in the property industry and building operations
- In depth understanding of sustainability metrics and data
- Exposure to building ratings such as Greenstar Performance, NABERS, GRESB
- Knowledge of sustainability financial reporting frameworks e.g. TCFD, TNFD, desirable
- Knowledge of sustainability certifications for new and existing assets, desirable
- Facilitates Management experience, desirable but not essential
- Basic knowledge of sustainability principles, practices, and regulations
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, and ability to work within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency in data collection and reporting
- Passion for sustainability and a commitment to making a positive impact
