The Role
Our boutique café located inside Abervale Retirement Village in Grovedale is looking for an all rounder/manager to run the café on a permanent part time basis!
Reporting the Village Manager, your duties will include:
- Day to day running of our very small café on site – you will be working by yourself
- Preparation and serving of café drinks – including coffee and milkshakes
- Making fresh sandwiches daily, displaying cakes and heating pastries
- Serving food to customers
- Ordering and restocking of items
- Cleaning and upkeep of cafe
- Basic administration
- Providing exceptional customer service to residents and their guests
- This role is (5 days per week), Monday-Friday 8:30AM-3:00PM
About You
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, committed, dependable and have a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- Competence and understanding in Barista operations
- Happy to work by themselves in a small, onsite cafe
- Flexibility to perform different tasks including customer service, stocking, food preparation and cleaning duties
- Have a genuine interest in interacting with and serving seniors
- Excellent hygiene and safety standards
- A current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or be willing to obtain)
- Basic computer skills
