The Role
Buderim Gardens is set amongst rainforest and luscious parklands, a short walk from Mooloolaba Beach, this coastal community offers quality facilities and a vibrant, relaxing and supportive village atmosphere.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Waitperson to join our dynamic team on a casual basis. The successful candidate will be required to assist in the day-to-day operations of our cafe.
Shifts would be anytime between:
- 09:00AM – 2:00PM – Wednesday, Friday and Sunday
- Some extra hours may be required occasionally.
Reporting to the Head Chef, your duties will include:
- Working with the kitchen and Cafe team to ensure a high standard of service is provided within the cafe to residents and guests.
- Preparation and service of café drinks
- Bar service.
- Restocking of items
- Assisting with general hall and café operations
- Basic administration
- Assisting kitchen staff as needed and back of house duties. E.g. Dishwashing / Stocktake.
- Ensuring that a premium level of customer service is provided to our residents and their guest in every interaction
About You
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role within a restaurant/hospitality setting
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Flexible, motivated and eager to learn
- A Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Barista skills (or willing to learn)
- A current First Aid and CPR certificates (or be willing to obtain)
- Have a passionate and customer- focused approach with a can-do and proactive attitude
