The Role

Harbourside Village is currently seeking a Village Support Officer (Casual) for our retirement village located in Mindarie.

 

Duties will include responding to resident enquiries, general administrative duties, food services, general domestic cleaning and housekeeping of community centre and apartments, assisting with our village events, responding to call outs, undertaking first aid and initiating emergency services where required.

 

Casual Shift:

  • Approx. 3 shifts a fortnight, including weekends.
  • Evening shifts (5pm-9pm), passive overnight sleepover (9pm-6am), Morning shifts (6am – 8am)
  • Additional assistance required for leave coverage

 

Who You Are

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, committed, dependable and be dedicated to providing exceptional customer service. A professional and positive approach is required at all times to ensure that all residents’ needs are met. A background in either hospitality, healthcare or customer service would be advantageous, as well as having the following:

 

  • A current Level 2 First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain)
  • Experience working with the elderly
  • The ability to make critical decisions and remain calm under pressure
  • Be motivated and able to take initiative
  • Basic computer skills
  • Flexible and open to work on weekends, public holidays, and during the Christmas period
