About the Role

We are seeking an Assistant Community Manager to provide operational support to the Community Manager and team at Brisbane North Rental Village, located in Aspley on the northside of Brisbane. This Community is a fast paced environment that is home to over 300 residents and their families, along with a tourist precinct for short term travellers.

The Assistant Community Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Community, asset enhancement, financial and people management, resident satisfaction, health, safety & risk compliance, along with special projects in the Community. This is a full time, permanent position.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure our Community team are always providing quality service to residents in line with industry best practice and/or as directed by management
  • Ensure the Communities are presented to a high standard
  • Manage staff, residents and visitors who attend the Community
  • Conduct and report on site audits to ensure the appropriate standards are being maintained
  • Provide support to residents by ensuring their health and wellbeing is a key focus
  • Actively strive to increase occupancy in line with budgets
  • Engage key community contacts to promote the Community and drive business outcomes
  • Provide support to the Community Manager, including assisting in special projects
  • Assist in refurbishment projects in the Community
  • Oversee the Reception function of the Community, assist in processing rental applications, preparing breach notices, conducting routine inspections, tours of the Community for perspective residents and all resident/tenant related duties

 About You

  • A passion for customer service
  • Current "C" class drivers’ licence  
  • Excellent administrative skills, financial controls and practices
  • Ability to identify problem areas and to use initiative and effective communication skills to resolve these issues
  • Ability to respond well to emergency situations
  • Confident and proficient at reasoning with people
  • Ability to work without supervision and problem solve
  • Experience with the Qld Residential Tenancies Act preferable
  • Ability to lead and manage a tea
