Located on site at Ingenia Holidays Rivershore, Driftwood Restaurant, Café and Bar is laid-back dining offering menu staples the whole family will love along with an ever-changing range of delicious specials to look forward to every day.
About the Position
As Cook, you will be responsible for supporting the quality production of all meals and food services and assist with cleaning involved in food production and services. This is a casual role; weekend availability is essential.
Responsibilities
- With customer satisfaction our core focus, you will create dishes to suit a strong seasonal tourist market as well as meeting the expectations of local residents
- Ensure the kitchen is stocked with produce required to provide a full catering service and that wastage is maintained at a minimum
- At all times ensure proper and safe use of all materials, consumables and equipment
- Maintain food safety policies
About You
- Experience in a similar role within the tourism industry
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and Certificate in Food Safety
- Ability to handle and use approved commercial chemicals
- Ability to work unsupervised and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with customers and other staff/managers
- Above all, a positive attitude with a flexible approach to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen
