Ingenia Holidays is seeking an experienced and reliable Housekeeping Team Leader to join our team at Phillip Island Holiday Park. This part-time role is responsible for supervising the housekeeping team and ensuring all rooms and common areas are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the housekeeping team to ensure high standards of service and cleanliness are consistently met
- Lead and train all new team members
- Clean rooms, cabins, and communal areas in line with health and safety regulations and guest expectations
- Transport linen, towels, cleaning supplies, and waste materials as required
- Replenish supplies in rooms and common areas
- Disinfect equipment and maintain cleanliness of storage areas
- Report maintenance issues, damages, and lost property to the Site Manager
- Perform detailed cleaning tasks, including dusting, polishing, sweeping, mopping, and window cleaning
- Conduct regular room inspections and audits to ensure quality standards
- Provide guidance, coaching, and feedback to housekeeping staff
- Promote effective communication and teamwork within the department
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies and procedures
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in housekeeping, with leadership or supervisory experience highly regarded
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining standards
