Utilise and expand your skills and business acumen to support medical practices around Australia. There is plenty of scope for growth, variety of work and excellent support from our growing organisation.

In this role you would take responsibility for contributing to strategic management, systems design and implementation, governance oversight, mentoring and business development for our clients with support from the Avant Practice Solutions team. In many scenarios our Management Consultants work with on-site Practice Managers for day-to-day operational support.

You will be providing consultancy services to our surgical, specialist and general medical practices, with a strong focus on efficiency and customer service.   Your skills in building strong relationships and influencing positive outcomes will be highly valued. The successful candidate will require a flexible and committed attitude and will bring experience with management in private practice settings.
 
Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the creation and execution of a client-focused service delivery model for the PMC team to boost customer experience and engagement.
  • Contributing to the analysis, design and management of operations and service delivery.
  • Delivering projects on budget, mindful of key performance metrics and overall business of APS.
  • Providing strategic industry specific advice to our clients based on industry standards to improve operational workflows, effect cost savings and implement improvements to drive revenue and business growth in line with the business vision.
  • Providing comprehensive HR support to medical practices, including staff queries, classification reviews, performance management, structural advice, mediation, and implementing legal or industry changes.
  • Promoting, growing, and developing Avant Practice Solutions.

 
What you need to be successful:

  • 5+ years experience as a Practice Manager, Business Manager, Operations Management or leadership role within the healthcare industry.
  • Experience in Dentistry, Pharmacy, or other specialist services will be highly regarded, along with experience in General Practice.
  • Customer Service Focus – Able to anticipate and respond to the needs of internal and external clients. Ensuring customer expectations are realistic, established and satisfied.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the human resources function, preferably with relevant experience in the Healthcare sector.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership with people management and relationship building skills.
  • Track record of managing performance matters and grievances.
  • Proficiency with computer-based systems including Microsoft Office systems.
  • Problem solving – the ability to troubleshoot issues creatively and effectively as they arise.
  • Ability to plan and organise – Establish priorities and schedules. Set clear and realistic objectives, which align with the company business plan. Organise workflow effectively.
  • Capabilities in business analytics and reporting, facilitation, and change management.
  • Perpetuates the company culture and customer satisfaction philosophy.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to provide timely, appropriate feedback and coaching.
  • Use of initiative and judgement in contributing towards the development and implementation of plans and processes for APS employment services.
  • Product knowledge – Understands the features and benefits of our services. Communicates this knowledge effectively and efficiently.
