About the role:

The Advice Associate supports the Life Insurance Financial Advice team and plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional client service and support within a member-based organisation.

This position involves assisting Life Insurance Financial Advisers who specialise in life insurance products such as term life, disability, critical illness and income protection.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support a small team of Life Insurance Financial Advisers, adapting to their individual styles of working.
  • Booking in member appointments with the advisers.
  • Contacting insurers, accountants and superannuation funds to obtain member statements and validate fact find data.
  • Respond to member enquiries via phone and email.
  • Managing the workflow of financial advisers, including paraplanning requests, record keeping and assisting with applications with insurers.
  • Maintain member records and update information in the database.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve member service processes.
  • Provide a front-line process workflow quality monitoring and compliance role in the team.

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous experience in client service or a similar role.
  • Strong organisation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Proficiency in using client management software such as Xplan and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Holding RG-146 certification in Life and Superannuation is advantageous.
