About the role
The HRIS Specialist is a subject matter expert in workforce rostering functionalities, HRIS forms, associated workflows, and dashboards. As a member of a core project team, this role supports the implementation of these elements within the HRIS for Australian Red Cross volunteers. The Specialist is responsible for leading and driving the discovery, design, build, testing, and training phases of the workforce management module.
What you will bring
- Sound experience in Workforce Management Systems, HR information systems and Project Management
- Experience in delivering organisational wide projects and/or programs
- Demonstrated technical knowledge and expertise in rostering/scheduling, award interpretation (including but not limited to SCHADS), HR forms and corresponding workflows, HR systems and HR system dashboards.
- Experience in gathering and documenting business requirements through interviews and workshops
- Ability to create clear and concise documentation, including business requirements, journey map, process flows, and user stories
- Sound analytical skills and demonstrated ability to assess, evaluate and solve problems and exercise initiative and judgment where practices and procedures are not clearly defined
- Experience in engaging and managing relationships with stakeholders at various levels
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts and adapt to changing business environments
- Ability to identify the most effective and efficient processes for getting things done, with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to operate under general direction from senior employees and work with people from diverse backgrounds and create a collaborative working environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 5. Competitive salary + superannuation + access to salary packaging.
