The program
Red Cross has been responding to emergencies and providing humanitarian assistance in Australia since 1914. We are committed to strengthening and extending our emergency aid services to assist all Australians prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies.
The opportunity
The individual participating in the placement (Trainee) assists with the development and implementation of Emergency Services policy, plans, projects and activities to help people across Queensland before, during and after disasters.
The impact
As an Emergency Services Trainee, you’ll help people to be better prepared, better connected to each other and more resilient when emergencies happen. Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the World’s largest humanitarian network.
Application requirements
- For this role you will be required to undertake a National Police Check, which will be organised by Red Cross.
- The role will also require you to hold or apply for a Working With Children Check or Working With Vulnerable People Check (depending on your State/Territory). Red Cross can assist you to apply for this check.
