The program 

 

While on student placement as an Aged Care volunteer your primary responsibility will be to assess and gather client data feedback on the services provided across the Red Cross portfolio. Through direct engagement with clients, you will help identify areas of success and opportunities for improvement, ensuring that the services we offer are aligned with the needs of those we support. Your contributions will play a key role in improving the overall quality of our services based on client feedback.

 

The opportunity 

For this role you will need good customer service and administrative skills, as well as the ability to relate to and empathise with a broad range of people, including those with different lived experiences, abilities, and cultures.

 

 

You will be comfortable using computers and be able to learn various systems as required. All volunteers will need to complete a National Criminal Check.

 

The impact 

 

While on student placement as an Aged Care volunteer, you will be assisting Red Cross to deliver essential programs in the community. You will have the opportunity to interact with many diverse people, as well as feeling the satisfaction of giving back to others.  

 

You’ll be part of the Red Cross Aged & Community Care team that works to support older and vulnerable people across Australia through a range of volunteer-based programs.  You will have the opportunity to learn from many people’s diverse history and knowledge, as well as feeling the satisfaction of giving back to others.  

 

 

Application requirements

  • For this role you will be required to undertake a National Police Check, which will be organised through Red Cross. 
  •  You will need to provide a recent copy of your CV
