The program 

 

With a focus on individuals, groups and communities in vulnerable situations, the Soup Patrol Program delivers a free, nutritious evening meal to people who are homeless, socially disadvantaged or on very low income. Soup Patrol operates 365 days of the year, with nightly services serving communities in Fremantle and twice weekly night services in Perth.

 

The opportunity 

 

For this role you will be required to have excellent communication skills and an understanding and empathy for people from diverse backgrounds, always behaving in a completely impartial and non-judgmental manner. You will have the opportunity to learn from many people’s diverse backgrounds, as well as feeling the satisfaction of giving back to others.

 

Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the world’s largest humanitarian network

 

The impact 

 

On a student placement with Red Cross, you will help bring your local community vital food relief support and stronger social connection by listening, empathising, and providing them with a friendly voice.

 

Application requirements

For this role you will be required to undertake a National Police Check, which will be organised by the Red Cross. 

You will need to provide a recent copy of your CV

You will need to hold a current AUS Driver’s License to undertake this role.
