The program 

 

Our Wellbeing Centres provide a welcome home away from home for patients & their carers, who travel from some of the most remote parts of North Queensland to access specialist medical services that are not available in their local community.  

 

The opportunity 

 

We are looking for someone skilled in basic general maintenance/handy work as well an interest in gardening and landscaping within the centre. 

 

The impact 

 

This volunteer opportunity will help to keep our centre looking fresh, helping with general maintenance and light garden duties around the facility.  This would suit someone passionate about using their skills and knowledge, working within their capacity.

 

Application requirements

 

  • For this role you will be required to undertake a National Police Check, which will be organised by Red Cross
  • To submit this application, you will need to upload a recent copy of your CV and/or provide details of two professional references.
  • The role will also require you to hold or apply for a Working With Children Check.  Red Cross can assist you to apply for this check.
