The Program 

The goal of the Connected Women Program is to build and strengthen social connections through developing skills, knowledge, language ability and confidence to contribute and lead in their communities.  

The Opportunity 

Since coming together, these women have been engaged in community initiatives such as a very successful fashion show in Darwin, food exhibitions in Darwin and Katherine and other activities identified and led by the group is a testament to Red Cross’ commitment to support and empower communities.     

The Impact 

 

The program provides an opportunity to volunteer who is passionate about women empowerment, capacity building and self-learning.  You will get an opportunity to learn about different cultures, meet new people and experience their culture.     

 

Application requirements

For this role you will be required to undertake a National Police Check, which will be organised through Red Cross. 

To submit this an application you will be need to upload a recent copy of your CV and/or provide details for two professional references. 

The role will also require you to hold or apply for a Working With Children Check or Working With Vulnerable People Check depending on your State/Territory.  Red Cross can assist you to apply for this check.
