Kalgoorlie Aboriginal Short Stay Accommodation (KASSA) provides Aboriginal visitors to Kalgoorlie-Boulder with affordable, safe and secure, culturally appropriate short-term accommodation (up to three months), with additional support to access appropriate external services as required. KASSA provides services for up to 44 people at any time and as such is staffed by a 24hr roster.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for workers to join our team. The role involves cleaning and preparing our residents rooms, maintaining the facility communal areas and general cleaning duties.
Casual cleaning shifts
- Working 4 – 6 hours per day
- Available during school hours
What you will bring
- Ability to effectively conduct cleaning duties
- Sound communication, time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a high performing team
- Demonstrated competency and understanding in Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures, including storage and use of chemicals
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work a flexible roster,
- Experience in hospitality/hotel environment is highly desirable
Mandatory Compliance Requirements
- A valid Western Australian Working with Children Check
- A valid Driver’s Licence

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 1. Hourly rate from $25.42 + casual loading + superannuation + salary packaging.
