About the role 

The Officer – Community Mobilisation works with local, state and national stakeholders to build organisational capability with a focus on volunteering, membership and outward community facing events  
Supported by the Manager/Senior Manager – Community Programs & Business Operations and working with other members and volunteers, the role acts to innovate, attract, engage and retain volunteers and members.  
 This position focuses on:

  • Building strong member and volunteer engagement 
  • Strengthening relationships and communications across sectors  

What you will bring

  • Demonstrated sound administration knowledge and expertise
  • Communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written
  • Experience in working with and supporting volunteers and/or members
  • Sound collaboration and communication skills to effectively engage with volunteers and stakeholders and people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to manage time, set priorities, plan and organise volunteers and their own work
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate events
  • Strong commitment to Reconciliation. 

Mandatory compliance requirements 

  • A clearance to work with vulnerable people  
  • A valid Driver’s Licence

Further information

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 4. Salary from $85,145.84 FTE + superannuation + salary packaging.
