About the role

The role will support the Humanitarian Settlement Program (HSP) in achieving its aims by developing positive and enduring relationships with internal and external stakeholders, enabling our service delivery teams to achieve positive and durable outcomes for clients and communities.  The role will act as a key point of contact and coordination for contract operations for the Department of Home Affairs, including reporting, assurance, change management, and humanitarian diplomacy.  In addition to supporting contract operations, this position will support our continuous improvement in identifying and coordinating a range of project initiatives.

What you will bring
  • Sound technical and practical knowledge and expertise in contract management and expertise in managing moderately complex projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills including negotiation, mediation, conflict resolution, report writing skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with our teams, the Department of Home Affairs, and other stakeholders to realise customer-centric solutions. Take ownership and identify solutions rather than waiting for others to take the lead
  • Ability to work with and lead teams and people from diverse backgrounds and create a collaborative working environment to work towards common goals (both internally and with external partners)
  • Sound understanding of vulnerabilities experienced by migrants in the Australian context
  • A current Working With Children’s Check and driver’s licence are mandatory
