About the role
This role works within our Australia Red Cross Meals on Wheels program in ACT. This is a dynamic role which requires you to work well as part of your small local staff team, engage with volunteers and work with your remote team members in similar services in other states.
A typical day will see you:
- pack meals, re-stock freezers
- provide a welcoming and supporting environment to volunteers,
- interact with clients to take orders or assist them connect with other services
- putting through orders to suppliers
- making orders, maintaining accurate record keeping, while also providing remote support to your counterparts in Tasmania.

- Willingness to complete each part of the role dependent on the needs of the team
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining your calm and cooperative spirit.
- Demonstrated client centred approach to your work and interactions
- Ability to support and coach volunteers
- Demonstrated ability to think outside the box to resolve to volunteer and client concerns

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award – Level 3. Salary from $73,823.36 FTE + superannuation + salary packaging.
