About the role 

Support the development and delivery of targeted support to individuals, households and communities to aid in their recovery from disasters and other crises. Contribute to state and territory sector efforts to enhance understanding of recovery processes, the importance of recovery measures and addressing the psychological needs of disaster affected people and communities.

 

What you will bring 

·       Sound knowledge and understanding of disaster resilience and community development principles.

·       Ability to assist in developing and delivering training, workshops, and resources.

·       Ability to work under general direction using application of knowledge, skills and experience 

·       Demonstrated sound technical knowledge and expertise in emergency services and/or volunteer management

·       Ability to build rapport and establish constructive relationships with people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds.

·       Sound analytical skills and demonstrated problem-solving abilities to address complex challenges in emergency response and volunteer management.

·       A current Working With Children’s Check and Driver’s Licence are mandatory
