About the role 

As the first point of contact, the Customer Service & Support Officer is pivotal in creating a positive experience for everyone contacting or attending the Docklands, Melbourne Red Cross Office. This role will provide a welcoming and safe connection point and reception environment for: clients accessing services or information; volunteers and members; key partners; and the wider community seeking to connect and access services. 

 
This role delivers effective and efficient quality customer focused service; and facilitates access to information and support services. In addition, the role provides operational and administrative support that enables Red Cross facilities and fleet to support and deliver services to stakeholders and customers in a safe, clean, effective and professionally presented environment as part of the Community Programs and Business Operations team. 

 

What you will bring

  • Previous experience in a customer service / reception environment
  • The ability to identify and implement effective and efficient reception and administration systems within a complex service delivery setting.
  • Through knowledge of solution focused customer service practices 
  • Sound verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to deliver sensitive and responsive customer services to all people irrespective of ethnicity, culture, gender, sexual orientation, disability 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver outputs within specified time frames 
  • Proficient computer skills, especially with Microsoft Suite

Further information  

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 3. Salary from $73,823.36 FTE + superannuation + salary packaging.
