Assistant Accountant

Purpose

In the role of Assistant Accountant, you will be an essential member of our dynamic shared services team. The role is a highly transactional role that assists the Hotel Accountant with accounting and reporting responsibilities for a cluster of properties within the Accor Apartments & Realty portfolio.

The Role

• Primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional hours outside of regular schedule, compensated with time off in lieu
• Work as part of a collective team to provide shared service finance support to a number of hotels
• Ideal for an up and coming finance professional that is seeking vital accounting skills and support to advance their career

Primary Responsibilities

• Balance sheet preparation and reconciliations
• Daily bank reconciliations and aged payment maintenance
• End of month journal preparation and entries
• FBT data preparation
• BAS assistance
• Account receivable support
• Assist the area finance team with daily, monthly, and annual financial requirements as required

Skills and Experience

• Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage assigned tasks in a faced paced environment
• Highly organised with a key eye for detail and numbers
• A sound understanding of accounting principals
• Ability to adapt to new systems
• A relevant tertiary qualification, whilst pursuing a CA/CPA is an advantage
