Purpose
As the Director of Food & Beverage, you will oversee all aspects of our food and beverage operations, including the award-winning Q Dining and the vibrant Hacienda Bar + Lounge. Your passion for delivering exceptional service and innovative cuisine will help us maintain our status as a premier destination for unforgettable dining, corporate functions, and luxury events. You will be instrumental in driving business growth and setting the stage for truly unique experiences against the backdrop of Sydney Harbour.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the food and beverage team to ensure high standards of service across Q Dining, Hacienda Bar + Lounge, and our meeting & event spaces
- Develop and execute innovative strategies to enhance guest experiences and maximise revenue opportunities
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to design and implement seasonal menus that reflect the latest culinary trends
- Prepare monthly forecasts, manage financial performance, including budgeting and cost control
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, training, and development for the team
- Ensure adherence to licensing laws, maintaining consistent quality in food and beverages, and provide feedback to your leadership team on key areas
- Maintain open communication with all departments
- Respond promptly to guest feedback, implement strategies to improve service, and ensure timely resolution of complaints
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a senior food and beverage management role within a luxury hotel or high-profile multi outlet venue
- Proven ability to execute strategies that achieve targeted outcomes and drive business growth
- Demonstrated capability to take initiative in all aspects related to team, guest safety and well-being
- Previous experience in leading teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences
- Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and driving revenue growth
- A creative and entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for curating unforgettable dining experiences
- Excellent time management and communication skills including rapport building between internal and external stakeholders
