Purpose

As the Reservations Manager – Lake Tekapo, you will play a key role in overseeing all reservations activities across two properties, ensuring seamless operations and maximizing revenue. Your leadership will drive high occupancy rates while providing ongoing support and guidance to the Reservations team, contributing to the overall success of the department across both properties.

 

Location: Peppers Bluewater and Mantra Lake Tekapo

Contract Type: Permanent Full-Time

Hours: 30 hours weekly

Pay Rate: $62,000.00 - $67,000.00 annual salary

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead, support, and train the Reservations team to ensure consistent service standards and operational excellence
  • Develop and manage occupancy and revenue forecasts, preparing yearly projections and monthly objectives to maximize revenue
  • Handle reservations inquiries promptly, leveraging up-selling opportunities and optimizing revenue potential
  • Monitor and adjust room rates, availability, and allocations across PMS, GDS, and online reservation systems to maximize occupancy
  • Coordinate group bookings and internal allocations, ensuring seamless communication and optimal room utilization
  • Conduct regular yield meetings and collaborate with management, reviewing occupancy trends, events, and revenue strategies

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and networking
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities, ensuring efficiency in a fast-paced environment
